What is the purpose of the Oswego Foundation for Educational Excellence?

The Oswego Foundation for Education Excellence is a community-based organization of interested citizens committed to the goal of enriching and enhancing educational opportunities for SD 308 students and staff. Foundation resources are awarded as grants that provide support to students and staff in the form of programs, materials, equipment, and funding fo initiatives which cannot be supplied by limited public resources.

When was the organization founded?

The Foundation (OFEE) became offical on November, 9th 1995, when the Articles of Incorporation we approved by the State of Illinois. The Foundation has been awarding grants from 1995 to present.

yes. the Foundation (OFEE) is a 501 c3 organization. Funds that are generated are dispersed via grants.

Who decides how the funds should be spent?

Funds donated to the Oswego Foundation for Educational Excellence (OFEE) are distributed as a grant with the approval of the Board of Directors.

How much money has been awarded through OFEE grants?

Since its incorporation in 1995, more than a half million dollars in grants have been awarded.

Where do the funds come from?

The Foundation exists with donations made directly to the Foundation and the support of SD 308 staff and its community through various fundraising activities.

Watch for OFEE activities and events in the month ahead and participate and attend.
Join OFEE as a Friend of OFEE or a a Board Member. Friends of OFEE help with activities, events and projects. Board members oversee grants, fundraising events, and activities.
Donated to OFEE today or in the future. Gifts in any amount are welcome and make a difference by providing educational resources. Contributions are tax- deductible.
