The Oswego Foundation For Educational Excellence (OFEE) is currently looking for Board Members and “Friends of OFEE” to join our organization in supporting SD 308. Established in 1995, OFEE has served SD 308 by providing over $650,000 in classroom grants for our students. Our Board Members will be responsible for the overall oversite of the foundation while attending monthly meetings, being involved in fundraising events and determining classroom grants once a year. Friends of OFEE are individuals who help out during fundraising events through the year and anything else they would like to be involved with.

 

OFEE’s Mission is:

To enhance the educational opportunities of youth in Community Unit School District #308 To provide a charitable vehicle through which individuals, businesses and corporations may make financial contributions and endowments to area youthTo provide funds beyond the normal operating budget of the school district for specific educational programs and activities for students and staff

 

Following are a few of the initiatives supported by the Foundation:

• Academic Excellence Dinner at Oswego East and Oswego High Schools

• Baggie BooksCaudill Reading Books

• Scholastic Reading Materials

• Heart Rate Monitors at OHS

• Various Reading Programs at the elementary

• Lincoln Award Winner books at the high school
